Job Summary

The Human Resources Recruiter will play a critical role in our organization's success by assisting in all facets of recruiting and talent acquisition. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies, and developing new and creative recruiting ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Human Resources Recruitment Manager in developing and implementing recruiting plans.
  • Network with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees to identify potential candidates.
  • Perform administrative duties and recruitment recordkeeping.
  • Assist with the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each assigned position.
  • Fully understand and comply with all employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified candidates.
  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment and job posting.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to establish rapport and gauge staffing needs.
  • Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings.
  • Work with Human Resources Recruitment Manager to coordinate and implement College, Career Center, and other recruiting initiatives.
  • Prescreen applications, conduct phone interviews, and arrange and participate in second interviews with Hiring Managers.
  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.
  • Assist in writing and forwarding rejection emails.
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Two to four years related experience preferred.
  • Must possess knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid California Driver's License with driving record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance.
  • Must have a vehicle and valid vehicle insurance.
  • Must pass criminal background check requirements.
