Job Description:Center Point, Inc., located in San Rafael, California, is seeking to employ an in-house recruiter for the HR Department. Qualified candidates will consult with hiring managers regarding recruitment and staffing issues, develop a network of contacts through various channels, and participate in ongoing initiatives to develop, integrate, and improve the sourcing and recruiting program for the organization. Accountable for placement and retention standards set forth by management. POSITION SUMMARY:A special emphasis of this role is creating and maintaining a well-qualified, diverse pool of candidates in a timely and cost-effective manner. Consult with hiring managers as it relates to recruitment and staffing issues; develop a network of contacts through various channels and participate in ongoing initiatives to develop, integrate, and improve the sourcing and recruiting program for the organization. Accountable for placement and retention standards set forth by management. Essential Job Functions are below: Responsibilities include:
  • Source candidates utilizing cutting-edge technology, social media, targeted outreach, and networking.  Develops database for current and future hires. 
  • Sends recruitment emails/correspondences.
  • Conducts pre-screens.
  • Timely disposition of candidates.
  • Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
  • Take initiative to provide innovative solutions to challenges and ensure timeliness and efficiency throughout the search.
  • Scheduling interviews for the hiring manager lead post interview discussions, and manage candidate communications and expectations.
  • Guide hiring managers to identify a balanced interview team, design an efficient and professional interview process, and prepare interviewers.  
  • Works collaboratively with the HR team.  Manages California Intern and Volunteer Program.
  • Negotiate job offers, coordinate reference and background checks, and ensure accurate and complete candidate records.
  • Participate in the development and optimization of recruiting processes and best practices.
  • Advise hiring managers on networking and recruiting strategies and provide recommendations for attracting diverse applicants.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and serve as a strategic advisor on recruiting matters.
  • Lead post-interview discussions and manage candidate communications and expectations.

Experience and Competencies:
  • Ability to work within established time frames with limited supervision.
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills. Keen attention to detail. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical human resource journals, financial and benefit reports, and legal documents.  
  • Proven effectiveness in leading talent searches while demonstrating professionalism, discretion, fairness, and confidentiality.
  •  Demonstrated effective working efficiently, productively, and urgently in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and keep others apprised of progress.
  • Demonstrated success exercising sound judgment, applying effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and acting and thinking independently.
  • Knowledgeable about project management processes and methods.
  • Proven success using online recruiting tools and strategies to identify talent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and online sourcing techniques.
  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain Center Point’s vehicle insurance is required.
 

Qualifications/Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in full life cycle recruiting preferred. Prior experience with non-profits in behavioral health is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or healthcare is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • PHR/SHRM certification preferred.
