Lead Software Architect - Hybrid Role

We are in search of a Lead Software Architect with a strong background in Java, Spark, and Kubernetes to join our dynamic team.

You will report directly to the Director of Development.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver a robust, scalable, and extensible next-generation Cloud Data Management platform that serves as the cornerstone for all Informatica offerings.

Your Role Responsibilities: Here's What You'll Contribute
  • Facilitating collaboration and engagement among senior team members to ensure effective design and implementation of significant functional areas of the product.
  • Innovating and architecting the next generation platform for complex heterogeneous systems and applications utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
  • Working closely with architects, development, and QA engineers to discuss and promote features.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment across various geographical locations.
  • Participating in internal and cross-team meetings, scoping, decision-making, and technical documentation.
What We Value
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies, particularly Spark.
  • Understanding of cloud ecosystems such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Microservice architecture.

Experience with container management technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.

Role Essentials
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including time spent in an enterprise software environment.
  • Proficient backend engineer with a history of developing multiple product versions.
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable and secure SaaS products utilizing microservice architecture.
  • Understanding of database internals, including query parsing, processing, and optimization, along with experience in developing core scalable components of a system or server-side multi-threaded development.
  • Proven ability to write high-quality code in Java; Scala knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in an iterative product definition and development environment.
  • Experience in communicating updates and resolutions to customers and stakeholders in larger groups.
  • Willingness to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background; we will consider a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
