Job Summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance operations team, you will be responsible for core financial operation processes, including customer and vendor contract administration, customer and vendor pricing, rebates, billing vendor chargeback research and reconciliation, processing vendor invoices and employee expense reports for payment, fixed asset accounting for book and tax records, cash application, and journal entries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of financial processes, accounting policies, systems, controls, and work streams.
  • Work collaboratively to respond to non-standard requests.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and prioritize getting the right things done.
  • Resolve and respond to customer inquiries regarding credit card accounts, transactions, via phone.
  • Provide clear and concise information to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Process credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify customer information and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot any processing errors or discrepancies.
  • Analyze credit card transaction data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for management.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of credit card policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in credit card processing, accounting, accounts receivable or related field, preferred.
  • SAP experience, preferred.
  • Merchant processing, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of credit card industry regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
