Position Summary


We are currently seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator to enhance our surgical team. This role involves direct reporting to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, with indirect reporting to the House Supervisor.


Key Responsibilities


The RN Circulator is responsible for:

  • Delivering comprehensive patient care in the perioperative environment through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across all age groups.
  • Coordinating patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
  • Guiding and supervising OR Technicians and other staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
  • Adhering to regulations, standards, and hospital policies.
  • Participating in Performance Improvement initiatives and unit meetings.
  • Serving as a resource for colleagues as needed.

Qualifications


To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Texas state RN license.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications within 30 days of hire and maintenance of certifications.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of perioperative experience or relevant training.
