Key Responsibilities:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse will report directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and will be responsible for:
- Delivering direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative environment through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients of all ages.
- Coordinating patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
- Guiding OR Technicians and other staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
- Adhering to regulations, standards, and hospital policies.
- Participating in Performance Improvement initiatives and team meetings.
- Serving as a resource for colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid Texas state RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
- ACLS and PALS certifications within 30 days of hire and maintenance of certifications.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of previous perioperative experience or equivalent training.
