About the Role:
The Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Room Nurse to join its team. As a key member of the surgical services department, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the perioperative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Direct and guide OR technicians and other personnel to maintain high standards of professional nursing.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide a continuum of care and participate in Performance Improvement activities.
- Act as a resource for other personnel and adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital policies.
Requirements:
- Current and valid Texas state RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN), preferred.
- Minimum of one year previous perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
