Position Overview:


Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to a facility renowned for its commitment to patient care and safety.

Our hospital is a 202-bed acute care institution accredited by The Joint Commission, providing a comprehensive array of medical services, including emergency care, cardiology, surgical services, and imaging.

We take pride in being the only Certified Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center in the vicinity, along with offering a Labor and Delivery Unit. Furthermore, we are the sole Trauma Center within a 13-mile radius and the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County.

Role Responsibilities:
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN will provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations, focusing on the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care in a surgical setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Continuous communication with physicians regarding patient conditions.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and inventory.
  • Assessing the functionality and readiness of procedure rooms and equipment.
  • Obtaining necessary supplies for individual cases to meet the needs of the cardiovascular team.
  • Monitoring physiological and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Recording and monitoring patients' conditions throughout their time in the lab.
  • Participating in performance improvement and quality enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • An active Registered Nursing (RN) license in Texas is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications upon hire.
  • Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care setting is required.
