Position Title: Senior Financial Team Leader
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Role Summary:

The Senior Financial Team Leader is expected to possess extensive experience in all aspects of a proficient Financial Associate's responsibilities while also taking on supervisory and training roles for fellow Financial Associates. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the bank's esteemed reputation by delivering exceptional service and support to both clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively assess customer needs and excel in promoting various products across all banking divisions.
  • Manage vault operations: order and ship currency; ensure daily balance.
  • Oversee supply orders and maintenance (or delegate as necessary).
  • Conduct internal audits of cash drawers, bait money, reserve checks, loan disbursement checks, traveler checks, and gift cards.
  • Supervise scheduling for Financial Associates, monitor overtime, assign closing duties, and assist with any discrepancies.
  • Train and oversee Financial Associates on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a Monthly/Yearly Retention log.
  • Process all transactions accurately.
  • Review New Account files.
  • Ensure compliance with opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain Combo & Key Logs.
  • Conduct monthly security checks.
  • Balance ATMs.
  • Ensure all logs are completed daily and approve all records.
  • Manage the ordering and shipping of foreign currency.
  • Obtain necessary Officer approvals.
  • Maintain reminders for scheduling and teller duties.
  • Recognize and report suspicious activities.
  • Address and resolve employee and customer inquiries.
  • Encourage Financial Associates to maintain professionalism and friendliness.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of available products.
  • Understand and comply with laws and regulations such as BSA, CIP, FACT Act, USA Patriot Act, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg E.
  • Occasionally assist the Customer Service Representative with new account openings.
  • Prepare reports and data for Management as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls, providing professional and courteous service.
  • Greet and assist all customers entering the office promptly and courteously.
  • Provide various account services including deposits, loan payments, check cashing, and withdrawals.
  • Handle special requests such as check orders, official checks, currency exchanges, and safe-deposit box procedures.
  • Verify endorsements and identification, ensuring validity and detecting counterfeit currency.
  • Evaluate deposited checks and determine fund availability based on regulations, issuing hold notices as necessary.
  • Balance cash drawers periodically throughout the day.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of banking or cash handling experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

This position may require occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit, talk, hear, and use hands for various tasks. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and balancing may be required. Vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is typically moderate in noise level and resembles a standard retail branch setting.
