Position Overview:
The Accounting Operations team is in search of a Senior Accountant to enhance our Corporate Accounting Services division.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with various levels within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations related to payroll and benefits, including various accruals.
• Collaborate with the Risk Management team to accurately record and reconcile insurance transactions.
• Ensure accuracy in GL coding through JDE reviews.
• Serve as the primary contact for accounting inquiries from business partners.
• Adhere to SOX controls and GAAP to maintain a robust internal control framework.
• Lead initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement.
• Provide regular updates to management regarding financial activities.
• Manage journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations using Blackline.
• Undertake special accounting projects as assigned.
• Assist in audit processes by preparing necessary schedules and liaising with auditors.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with month-end closing processes.
• Innovative thinker with financial acumen applicable in a manufacturing context.
• Ability to foster effective teamwork and support organizational goals.
• Proficient in setting priorities and managing schedules effectively.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards, Hyperion, and Blackline is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
