Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team at Davidson Hospitality Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to our hotel financial and management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Advisor: Serve as a trusted financial resource and advisor for our hotel financial and management teams, providing expert guidance on financial matters.
  • Timely Reporting: Ensure that monthly hotel financial statements are meticulously prepared, reviewed for precision, and distributed promptly for a select set of hotels under the guidance of the Regional Controller.
  • Reconciliation Expert: Master monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations with precision and timeliness, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Report Maestro: Take charge of preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports for hotels, owners, and investors, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Audit Support: Partner with the regional director of finance to prepare for annual audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Vendor Partnership: Review the accuracy of new accounts payable vendor requests and support accounts payable invoice posting as needed, ensuring seamless vendor relationships.
  • Custom Reports: Produce additional monthly financial reports based on requirements, providing tailored insights to support business decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A degree from a four-year college, preferably with an accounting concentration.
  • Experience: Five+ years of related experience, with a preference for hospitality industry knowledge.
  • Financial Proficiency: Command of accounts payable, payroll, debits and credits, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts receivables, bank reconciliation, and cash flow projections.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, with a strong understanding of financial software and systems.
  • Accounting Know-How: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and industry standards.
