Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the corporate controllers group with an opportunity to interpret and apply complex accounting rules to a range of various accounting duties in support of the broader Finance and Accounting Team. General duties will include ad-hoc projects, compiling and analyzing data, preparing or reviewing accounting schedules and journal entries, preparing financial statement disclosure schedules, and working cross-functionally across the organization with teams around the world. This role is an excellent position in corporate accounting to learn the business, develop leadership skills, and access career advancement opportunities at NCR Voyix.

Areas of responsibility :

  • Prepare the filing of the Company's external financial reports, including all 10-Q's, 10-K's and certain 8-K's filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC").
  • Cooperate with Legal and HR to prepare and file the Company's annual proxy statement.
  • Support the Investor Relations function with the preparation and accuracy of publicly shared materials such as: press releases and corresponding exhibits, investor presentations, and other supporting materials.
  • Prepare certain account reconciliations and journal entries to support the monthly and quarterly close process.
  • Assist corporate accounting team in completing monthly and quarterly close activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for the corporate accounting area, including opportunities for automation.
  • Provide oversight and coaching to team members and work in a collaborative manner with other parts of the business.
  • Serve as a liaison with our external auditors to support their quarterly reviews and annual audit.
  • Research and provide recommendations on complex accounting transactions.
  • Responsible for ensuring relevant processes stay in compliance with all internal policies and SOX controls, including maintaining adequate documentation of control performance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent concentration.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to read and understand accounting pronouncements and accounting guides.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in public accounting firm (preferred) or corporate accounting at a public company.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a vigorous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to self-direct and multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
