Job Summary

At Charles River Medical Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Answering and handling telephone calls from providers, patients, and other stakeholders
• Checking patients in and out for their appointments
• Scheduling appointments, including making referral and ancillary appointments
• Supporting physicians in their day-to-day work schedule
• Processing requests for referrals and prescription refills
• Handling tasks such as collecting payments, registering patients in the electronic medical records system, copying and mailing medical records, confirming insurance eligibility, providing patient reminders, addressing no-show patients, and keeping track of office and medical supplies
• Coordinating care with other offices as needed
• Assisting in medical tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing EKGs if needed
• Answering patients' questions regarding billing, insurance issues, and other concerns
• Working as a team with other members of the office to provide high-quality patient care

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
