Job Description

As the Office Manager at South Middlesex Opportu, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our behavioral health clinic office. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage administrative staff, oversee daily workflows, and maintain a welcoming environment for our clients and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all purchasing, including hardware, office supplies, and kitchen items
  • Oversee daily administrative functions, including file storage and shredding
  • Utilize the electronic health record to manage client memos and communicate with staff
  • Manage appointment reminders and coordinate with the clinical and medical team
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and evaluate staff, providing mentoring, training, and performance management

Requirements:

  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must; Portuguese a benefit
  • Strong administrative experience, leadership skills, and creative problem-solving
  • Experience with Office 365, Adobe, Zoom, and EHR software a plus

Working Conditions:

This position requires a calm demeanor and superior customer service skills. As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Office Manager will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
