Position Overview

As a pivotal member of the Procurement team, the Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Services & Operations. This role is essential in providing comprehensive financial support to the Procurement division, which is responsible for sourcing both direct and indirect materials for the production of Trinseo's diverse product range across multiple manufacturing sites globally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with functional leaders and global management teams to shape the operational and financial strategies of the Procurement function.
2. Instill a financial mindset across the organization, translating operational metrics into performance measures and identifying areas for improvement.
3. Serve as the financial steward, ensuring the safeguarding of organizational assets by managing risks and maintaining accurate financial reporting.
4. Support the monthly forecasting, annual planning, and long-term strategic processes with detailed financial projections and insights.
5. Assist in the financial close process by analyzing results, communicating variances, and ensuring compliance with audit requests.
6. Develop and monitor adherence to internal control systems related to capital expenditures and financial reporting.
7. Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on optimizing working capital and enhancing profitability across various dimensions.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting (advanced degrees such as MBA, CPA, or CFA are preferred).

Experience:
5 to 8 years in financial analysis or cost accounting roles.

Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in financial accounting and manufacturing cost accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate economic factors.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across diverse teams.
