Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Medical Operations is accountable for the strategic oversight and operational excellence of ambulatory practice sites within the Northern Region.

This role is pivotal in ensuring a superior and secure patient experience, while also providing essential support for healthcare providers to facilitate optimal patient care, alongside driving productive and profitable operations.

The SVP will prioritize, establish, and implement organizational objectives and action plans essential for achieving multi-specialty practice goals and fostering long-term growth.

Additionally, this leader will oversee the evaluation processes aimed at enhancing and sustaining high standards of patient care quality and employee safety across all practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with RWJBarnabas Health hospital leadership in the Northern Region to align with community and regional objectives.
- Work in partnership with other regional medical group executives to ensure consistent application of medical group goals and objectives across all regions.
- Engage closely with Service Line leaders to support strategic initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with various corporate services, including Revenue Cycle, IT, Credentialing, Coding, Facilities, HR, Physician Recruitment, Supply Chain Management, and Financial Management, to ensure achievement of key performance indicators and service outcomes.
- Act as a dyad partner with the Chief Medical Officer and regional physician leaders to promote effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Regularly review and evaluate the quality, safety, and appropriateness of patient care services, implementing necessary actions based on findings.
- Utilize diverse feedback mechanisms to identify and pursue opportunities for operational improvement in collaboration with leadership and staff.
- Establish and update standards across all areas to maximize cost-efficiency and operational performance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide service provision in specific practices.
- Make informed staffing recommendations to meet current and future departmental needs.
- Enhance the range and quality of services to meet patient and medical group requirements.
- Monitor financial performance of individual programs and conduct cost analyses.
- Apply financial principles to annual operating and capital budgets that support departmental objectives.
- Approve necessary documentation, including timecards, purchase orders, contracts, and other relevant paperwork.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in health services (MS, MPH, or MHA), business administration (MBA), or equivalent experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive managerial experience in community and academic medical practice management or a related field is essential.
- A demonstrated commitment to quality service delivery and alignment with organizational mission is required.
