As a passionate culinary professional, your goal is to enrich the dining experience for residents.

Sodexo Senior Living is on the lookout for a

Culinary Operations Manager,

to oversee a new initiative within a senior living environment. The ideal candidate will possess a robust culinary expertise, particularly in managing specialized dietary needs and food preparation techniques.

Typical working hours will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:


Establish and standardize all culinary processes and protocols for dining services, including catering, retail menus, food production, dietary standardization, inventory management, and kitchen safety practices.

Adherence to Sodexo's high standards will be essential;

Food Management Systems:
Conduct monitoring, audits, and the implementation of new menu standards;
ensure compliance with food safety regulations and provide annual training for all staff;

Procurement:
Collaborate with suppliers on procurement strategies. Oversee purchasing operations and financial audits related to procurement;
introduce innovative and fresh concepts in dining services, catering, and retail operations;

and/or
foster strong relationships with clients on-site.

experience in leading and motivating a culinary team, complemented by excellent human resource and management skills;

the capacity to manage multiple tasks and demonstrate effectiveness in a high-quality service environment;
a comprehensive understanding of forecasting, food cost management, procurement, inventory, and labor management principles;
proficient computer skills along with exceptional organizational and customer service abilities;
Servsafe certification and a solid understanding of HACCP, along with experience in health and safety audits.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in food or culinary services, including roles in restaurants, catering, institutional services, and similar environments.
