UES is seeking a Lead Geotechnical Engineering Specialist to join our Geotechnical Department.UES is recognized as a national leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental Services, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Design of deep foundation systems (drilled shafts, CFA piles, micropiles), ground enhancement techniques, and retaining wall structures (CIP, MSE, Segmental Gravity, Soldier Pile and Lagging, Soil Nail, etc.)
Development of design basis methodologies and execution of hand/software calculations.
Foster and maintain existing client relationships through effective interpersonal communication and collaboration with senior staff.
Oversee projects from proposal development to final completion.
Guide and assign design tasks to EIT design engineers.
Collaborate with CAD personnel on design specifics and plan annotations.
Convey engineering analysis results, calculations, plans, and recommendations to clients.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Working Environment:
In addition to an office environment, candidates may encounter outdoor weather conditions, including wet and/or humid environments, extreme temperatures, and dusty or noisy settings.
Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an ABET-accredited institution in civil engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment.
Proficiency with modern office tools, including Microsoft Office and Excel. Familiarity with software such as Settle, SLIDE, AutoCAD, LPILE, GROUP is advantageous.
Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Experience in geotechnical design or specialized geotechnical construction (deep foundations, retaining walls, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or relevant coursework (M.S. or Ph.D.) in civil engineering disciplines or experience in geotechnical engineering.
Background in engineering or construction.
