Key Responsibilities

Collaboration and mentorship are integral to our company culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do philosophy, expecting you to engage in challenging technical projects while utilizing your expertise to help expand our practices and capabilities through business development and client engagement. You may also assume project management duties, including staff oversight and development, as well as mentoring responsibilities.

Some essential duties may include:
  • Civil engineering design, landfill design, and site planning;
  • Geotechnical engineering assessments such as slope stability, settlement analysis, bearing capacity, seismic evaluation, and seepage analysis;
  • Dam inspections, evaluations, and design;
  • Geotechnical and environmental site assessments;
  • Development and management of monitoring instrumentation systems;
  • Project management and proposal preparation support;
  • Oversight and management of construction quality assurance;
  • Preparation of engineering documentation, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications;
  • Fieldwork related to design and construction services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, water resources, geotechnical engineering, or a related discipline (required);
  • Advanced degree in earth science, geotechnical engineering, or a related field (preferred);
  • Professional registration (e.g., P.E., P.G.) (required).
Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a consulting environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required);
  • Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software (e.g., seepage and slope stability analysis) (required);
  • Familiarity with numerical modeling tools (preferred);
  • Experience in design and construction;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple projects, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client sites as necessary (required);
  • Strong writing and communication skills (required);
  • Fieldwork and overnight travel may be necessary;
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred);
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required;
  • A valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
