Vice President, Management Liability Specialist

RenaissanceRe is a leading writer of Property & Casualty Reinsurance, seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as Vice President, Management Liability. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in D&O lines and contribute to the company's continued success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a profitable portfolio of management liability reinsurance business, aligning with the company's risk and return objectives.
- Partner with brokers to determine specific requirements and structure reinsurance solutions that address client needs and add value.
- Conduct extensive analysis of primary operations, products, and management teams.
- Collaborate with the actuarial team to analyze and price reinsurance programs with unique features.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers to ensure RenaissanceRe is a market of choice.
- Represent RenaissanceRe at client and industry events, traveling as required to support the business.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience underwriting professional liability lines at a reinsurer and/or insurer, with extensive knowledge of D&O lines.
- A proven track record of managing a profitable portfolio of management liability business.
- A thorough understanding of the underlying business, preferably gained as an insurance underwriter or facultative reinsurance underwriter.
- Established strong relationships with clients and brokers.
- A deep understanding of policy forms, re/insurance pricing schemes, and the regulatory environment.
- Appreciates the role and impact of actuarial, finance, and claims in the underwriting process.
- An appreciation of portfolio management considerations in the underwriting of business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
