Risk Management Vice President

We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President, Risk Management, to join our team at New Fortress Energy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for executing and managing our Risk Management and Insurance program.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for risk management and insurance, handling complex issues and working closely with internal stakeholders to identify and analyze exposures.
- Manage relationships with insurance brokers to stay abreast of market trends and implement risk management strategies across all insurance programs.
- Provide insurance estimates for construction and new/expanded areas of business, working closely with the Legal, Finance, Development, and Operations teams.
- Develop and maintain a clear understanding of insurance policies and contracts, ensuring compliance with insurance covenants and identifying areas for improvement.
- Travel up to 25% of the time to meet with stakeholders and counterparties, negotiate non-standard insurance-related contract terms, and review and analyze insurance policies.
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, finance, law, business administration, or a similar program.
- Minimum 10-15+ years of experience in Risk Management and/or Insurance, preferably in a corporate or insurance brokerage setting.
- CRM, CIC, ARM, CPCU, or similar professional designation preferred.
- Expert technical knowledge of insurance coverages, including property/business interruption, commercial general liability, directors' and officers' liability, builder's risk, pollution liability, Hull and Machinery, and P&I.
- Experience with large construction contracts and related knowledge in energy infrastructure construction and vessel/marine operations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple tasks and projects with limited supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to varied and quickly changing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
