About the Role:

U.S. Bank is seeking a highly skilled Third Party Portfolio Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Management department, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of third-party risk management lifecycle across various business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Service Owners, Chief Risk Officers, and other stakeholders to implement and drive the third-party risk management lifecycle.
  • Manage the Third-Party Portfolio across all elements of the lifecycle, including Planning, Risk Assessment, Due Diligence, Contracting, and Ongoing Monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business lines, product service owners, and third-party contacts to ensure optimal product/service mappings, assessments, and segmentation.
  • Coordinate contract reviews, negotiations, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
  • Actively manage remediation plans, reassessments, and overall portfolio risk to minimize Key Risk Indicator breaches.
  • Partner with product/service owners to actively manage third-party performance, business continuity, and resiliency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • More than 5 years of applicable experience in Third-Party Risk Management program management and understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and financial services.
  • Strong relationship building skills and demonstrated success in achieving organizational objectives through partnership and influence.
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies and individual contributor skills in process management, influencing, and negotiating.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
