This position will manage a portfolio of clients, focusing on assessing their unique needs and risks while assisting them in developing a tailored insurance strategy. The role involves comprehending client risks and effectively communicating those needs to the relevant insurance providers. Client Relationship Specialists are expected to independently execute the necessary tasks to manage accounts efficiently and deliver outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Leadership and Business Partners to: Independently handle daily tasks essential for managing client service requirements, which may include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee an assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Prepare and process various insurance documents, including Evidence of Insurance, Binders, Agent of Record Letters, and Auto ID cards.
  • Manage carrier downloads for the assigned portfolio.
  • Market, underwrite, and quote new and renewal policies; negotiate coverage and pricing with insurance providers.
  • Expand client accounts by proposing additional insurance lines, ensuring awareness of clients' needs through regular interactions throughout the policy term.
  • Adhere to the renewal process; consult procedures for timing and methods appropriate for the client level.
  • Request and process renewals as necessary.
  • Coordinate changes with carriers, update systems, and track follow-up activities.
  • Ensure account accuracy by verifying that online client information and carrier communications are correct and up-to-date.
  • Provide advanced claims consulting; analyze exposures and alternatives while maintaining communication with clients throughout the claims process.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills, critical thinking, and professional communication with both clients and insurance partners.
  • Follow established agency protocols; actively contribute to refining processes.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of personal lines coverages and claims procedures, applying this knowledge effectively.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing insurance documents and policies.
  • Capable of exercising professional judgment in assessing coverage needs and resolving insurance-related issues.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining effective client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients and company personnel.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as Sagitta, Word, and Excel.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations as needed.
  • Willingness to assist with additional work-related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred. A valid state-specific Property Casualty Insurance agent's license is mandatory or the ability to obtain one within three months of employment. Technical designations such as CISR or PRMA are encouraged.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal lines, either on the agency side or the carrier side.
