Job Title: Bookkeeper and Office Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Bookkeeper and Office Support professional to join our team at Diablo Thermal Systems, a small specialty commercial refrigeration and mechanical service company based in Walnut Creek, CA.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, approximately 30-35 hours weekly, requiring strong math skills, logical mindset, and excellent 10-key skills. The ideal candidate will have hands-on data entry experience, preferably in accounting or a support position, and be comfortable with QuickBooks, Excel, and Word.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the office manager with bookkeeping, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, generating work orders, purchasing, costing, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Update service records for equipment, file documents, and support service technicians with information needed for scheduled and emergency work.
  • Perform occasional errands and maintain a positive attitude, being reliable, level-headed, and hardworking.
Requirements:
  • Strong math skills, including calculation of time
  • Logical mindset
  • Excellent 10-key skills, by touch, with high accuracy
  • Hands-on data entry experience, preferably in accounting or a support position
  • Comfortable with QuickBooks, Excel, and Word
  • Access or other database experience a plus
  • Internet search skills
  • Strong communication (verbal and written)
