Role Summary

The Community Development Banking (CDB) division is looking for a Relationship Manager to become part of our team. CDB operates within the Commercial Real Estate Bank (CREB) and is dedicated to strengthening and enhancing neighborhoods in low- and moderate-income areas by providing financial solutions, including equity investments, to both for-profit and non-profit developers focused on affordable multifamily housing.

This role supports the South Community Development Banking team, which collaborates with affordable housing developers from various Bank of America locations. The selected candidate will be tasked with marketing and coordinating the provision of community development financing and related banking products and services to a diverse portfolio of client relationships and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financing strategies for affordable housing projects, community revitalization, and rehabilitation efforts.
  • Act as an advisor to clients, facilitating access to the bank's comprehensive range of services to meet their financial needs, including Treasury, Wealth Management, Structured Products, and Employee Benefits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders in the affordable housing sector, including CDFIs, tax credit investors, syndicators, municipalities, state agencies, intermediaries, consultants, and other lenders.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of real estate, sponsorship, and project finances, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of financial products and services.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, Community Development, or LIHTC investing.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate fundamentals, credit assessment, underwriting, and sales techniques.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region to support client needs.

Educational Background:

  • A four-year degree or equivalent professional experience.
