Responsibilities

In this role, the Lead Auditor will operate with limited supervision, conducting diverse and intricate financial, operational, and compliance audits for our organization and its subsidiaries. You will actively advocate for a robust internal control environment through assurance and consultative services, as outlined in our Internal Audit Manual, which adheres to the standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business management, finance, or a related field; an additional four years of audit experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree. Certain Master's Degrees may account for up to two years of experience.
  • A minimum of four years of internal audit or public accounting experience in audit, risk management, or regulatory compliance within a professional firm or business.
  • Capability to execute and lead audits with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to meet workpaper quality and timely delivery standards.
  • Timely and appropriate addressing of Auditor-In-Charge review comments. Conduct timely reviews of workpapers when leading audits.
  • Identify audit issues and draft comprehensive reports. Provide actionable recommendations based on assessed risks and follow up on issue resolutions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with management regarding audit scope, objectives, and findings, both orally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with audit methodologies and the development of key internal audit deliverables, including process flows, narratives, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Preferences:
  • Broad exposure to the banking sector.
  • Experience in Credit or Finance is preferred.
  • Certifications such as ACAMS or CRCM.
  • Possession of CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) OR CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CBA (Certified Bank Examiner).
