This position is pivotal in delivering Continuous Improvement services to support X Energy's reactor development initiatives. Responsibilities include documenting, executing, and sustaining quality management systems that align with United States Commercial Nuclear, Department of Energy, Canadian Nuclear, and International standards.

Your role will involve ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, including NRC, DOE, CNSC, and ISO standards, for various project, program, and process activities. You will develop, implement, and maintain programs, processes, and metrics that provide objective evidence of X Energy's commitment to fostering a robust Nuclear Safety Culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development, execution, and enhancement of the self-assessment program while identifying opportunities for ongoing improvement.
  • Collecting and evaluating operational experiences and disseminating lessons learned across the organization.
  • Conducting root cause analyses and trend assessments related to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborating with business leaders to coordinate and spearhead diverse continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing compliance, safety, and quality across organizational processes.
  • Facilitating the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexities within business operations to promote greater efficiency.
  • Gathering requirements and driving process modifications through various analytical methods, including interviews, observations, and workflow analysis.
  • Maintaining and refining the management review process to evaluate the effectiveness of the management system.
  • Supporting the collection of data and metrics for management reviews and coordinating related meetings.
  • Assisting in the organization and execution of Nuclear Safety Culture surveys and summarizing data for organizational sharing.
  • Contributing to the effective implementation of the corrective action program and supporting the program administrator as needed.
  • Participating in internal quality inspections and audits.
  • Obtaining and maintaining relevant auditor credentials as necessary.
  • Engaging in supplier evaluations and qualifications through various assessment methods.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and quality improvement throughout the organization.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier and customer site visits as required.
  • Ensuring timely completion of personal training and corrective action responsibilities with high standards.
  • Exhibiting professionalism in all forms of communication.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of fifteen years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role, including at least six years in project management and business analysis.
  • Possession of Certified Nuclear Lead Auditor credentials or the ability to obtain them.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and quality management standards.
  • Basic understanding of nuclear design and manufacturing quality-related issues.
  • Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt or the ability to obtain it.
