Role Responsibilities

As a Commercial Loan Administrator, your daily tasks will include:

  • Loan File Preparation: Collecting all essential financial, collateral, and relevant information for loan underwriting. Preparing a comprehensive file for the Credit Analyst to facilitate efficient loan evaluations.
  • Loan Portfolio Oversight: Ensuring compliance with loan requirements, including annual financial reporting, insurance certificates, proper liens, and collateral value maintenance. Monitoring adherence to financial covenants.
  • Loan Document Examination: Conducting thorough reviews of loan documentation before and after settlement to ensure compliance with approval terms, policies, and procedures. Facilitating seamless loan closings, disbursements, and documentation management.
  • Reporting: Collecting, compiling, and analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and presenting findings to senior management on a monthly or quarterly basis as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Working both independently and collaboratively within the Commercial Lending Department and across other Credit Union departments, contributing significantly to departmental and organizational goals.
  • Client Service Excellence: Acting as the primary contact for clients, delivering outstanding service to borrowers. Addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues effectively, and fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Communication with Senior Management: Clearly and effectively communicating with senior management, providing insightful updates on loan portfolios, risk assessments, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field OR 1-3 years of experience in commercial lending administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to senior management.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to evaluate loan risks and opportunities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
