Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Subject to pre-employment and periodic drug testing
  • Subject to pre-employment and periodic polygraph examinations

Position Responsibilities
This role serves as a National Reconnaissance Office Cadre Technical Analyst, providing expert technical and professional guidance on engineering, physical science, or mathematical/statistical matters impacting the NRO. As a Deputy Lead within the Cost and Acquisition Assessment Group (CAAG), you will:

  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of comprehensive cost analyses supporting various NRO requests.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis activities, including independent cost estimates and assessments of NRO systems.
  • Prepare and assess cost, performance, and effectiveness evaluations throughout the planning, design, manufacturing, and operational phases of programs.
  • Advise on the development and application of analytical methodologies.
  • Enhance relationships and techniques for assessing system costs and performance.
  • Engage in complex fiscal negotiations and prepare relevant briefings and workshops.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to develop innovative methods for validating findings.

Qualifications Required

  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles or mathematics, physics, and statistics.
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
  • Proven ability to produce authoritative analytical products.
  • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Expertise in multidisciplinary engineering concepts and practices.

Additional Information

  • A degree in a technical or scientific field (STEM) is required.
  • Overtime may be necessary, including evenings and weekends.
  • Travel may be required for temporary duty assignments.
  • Financial disclosure may be required upon appointment.
