This team is engaged in systems development, intelligence analysis, systems engineering, and integration, among other critical functions.
Position Title: Lead Engineer for Space Systems Operations
Position Overview:
This role is for a skilled Lead Engineer specializing in Space Systems Operations within a pioneering and innovative space program contract. The Lead Engineer is expected to exhibit technical expertise in space ground engineering, possess IT integration experience, and demonstrate strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. In collaboration with Government leadership, the Lead Engineer will plan, organize, and execute all acquisition and engineering activities throughout the system life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize tasks based on mission significance and resource availability
- Monitor and report progress to both Contractor and Government leadership
- Deliver expert-level analysis and recommendations in space ground engineering
- Advocate for Ground interests in system engineering processes
- Guide a team to foster a positive and productive work environment
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Experience with architectures related to the Intelligence Community and/or Department of Defense
- Bachelor's degree with 14 years or Master's degree with 12 years of relevant experience
- Technical proficiency in space ground systems hardware and software
- Capability to lead and serve as the primary contact for projects
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills
- Aptitude for conveying technical information to varied audiences
- Excellent communication, coordination, and customer engagement abilities
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
