Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and conduct geotechnical investigations both offshore and onshore.
  • Oversee fieldwork operations supporting geotechnical assessments.
  • Develop and supervise geotechnical laboratory testing programs, including advanced methodologies.
  • Perform and evaluate engineering calculations such as slope stability, foundation design, and seismic assessments.
  • Prepare detailed construction documents, including technical specifications and drawings.
  • Draft and review technical reports and project correspondence.
  • Handle multiple projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining quality standards.
  • Lead project delivery, encompassing planning, financial management, risk assessment, and contract oversight.
  • Identify and cultivate business opportunities with both new and existing clients, preparing proposals as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or ocean engineering (required).
  • Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering (preferred).
  • Professional registration (e.g., P.E.) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering consulting, with a preference for 7+ years.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a marine geotechnical engineer on offshore projects in the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in managing project delivery, including planning, financial oversight, and risk management.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel as necessary.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
