Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing a variety of offshore and onshore geotechnical investigations, including the selection of appropriate sampling and in-situ testing methodologies.
  • Conduct fieldwork related to offshore and onshore geotechnical investigations.
  • Develop and oversee geotechnical laboratory testing initiatives.
  • Analyze and interpret results from in-situ and laboratory geotechnical tests.
  • Perform engineering calculations, including slope stability assessments and foundation designs.
  • Create maps, tables, and figures to support project documentation.
  • Prepare construction documents, including technical drawings and specifications.
  • Draft and review technical reports, correspondence, and memoranda.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or ocean engineering is required.
  • An advanced degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous internship or work experience in engineering consulting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in geotechnical engineering principles is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical and engineering software, such as AutoCAD, SLIDE, and PLAXIS, is preferred.
  • Experience with programming languages, including Python, Java, and JavaScript, is preferred.
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel as needed is essential.
  • Health and safety training, along with compliance with medical monitoring and client-driven drug testing, is required.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record for business travel are necessary.
