Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing a range of offshore and onshore geotechnical assessments, including the selection of appropriate sampling and in-situ testing methodologies;
  • Participate in field operations for the management and oversight of geotechnical investigations;
  • Contribute to the development and management of geotechnical laboratory testing protocols;
  • Analyze and present findings from in-situ and laboratory geotechnical tests;
  • Conduct and review engineering calculations, such as slope stability analyses, foundation design evaluations, pipe-soil interaction studies, and seismic assessments;
  • Create maps, tables, and graphical representations;
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documentation, including drawings and technical specifications; and
  • Draft and review technical reports, correspondence, and memoranda.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or ocean engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
Skills and Experience
  • Previous internship or work experience in engineering consulting. (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
  • Strong foundation in geotechnical engineering principles and practices. (required)
  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities. (required)
  • Familiarity with geotechnical and engineering software, such as AutoCAD, SLIDE, and PLAXIS. (preferred)
  • Experience with programming languages, including Python, Java, and JavaScript. (preferred)
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel as needed. (required)
  • Completion of health and safety training, medical monitoring, and compliance with client-driven drug and background checks. (required)
  • Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record for business travel. (required)
