Position Overview:
As a dedicated and proactive Retail Operations Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily functions of our store. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of store management, ensuring a seamless operation that aligns with our mission to serve the community.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale management, and inventory oversight.
2. Assume full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, including personnel management and cash handling.
3. Assist in monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators to enhance store sales and profitability in line with established goals.
4. Schedule and coordinate store employees to ensure optimal coverage and facilitate effective team meetings.
5. Support the Store Manager in the recruitment, training, and development of store personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
6. Address personnel matters and performance evaluations in collaboration with the Store Manager and HR representatives.
7. Ensure exceptional customer and donor satisfaction through outstanding service and community engagement.
8. Aid in the efficient processing of donations and merchandise in the back room, supporting operational goals.
9. Supervise and report on program beneficiaries involved in work therapy assignments.
10. Safeguard store assets, including cash, inventory, and property, while adhering to security protocols.
11. Maintain safety standards in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
12. Participate in mandatory safety meetings and assist in conducting weekly store meetings.
13. Be adaptable to transfer or relocation based on business needs.
14. Complete assigned tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
- Proficient in handling cash transactions and operating point of sale systems.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.

Physical Requirements:
- Capability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and engaging in repetitive motions.

Work Schedule:
Flexibility is essential as our stores operate seven days a week, with schedules determined by management.
