Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY


The Beverage Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Food & Beverage Supervisors and/or Beverage Manager to ensure the smooth operation of casino service bars at Caesars Entertainment.

This position involves setting up and organizing the bar area, maintaining cleanliness, managing waste disposal, restocking supplies, and transporting alcoholic products between the warehouse, storage areas, and bars. The goal is to provide high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a responsible and professional manner, alongside other assigned tasks.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Promote and uphold the culture of Caesars Entertainment by demonstrating Excellent Service Standards consistently.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Safely transport or transfer alcoholic products to and from various locations, including warehouses and bars.

Ensure the organized setup and cleanliness of casino service bar areas, including waste management and product replenishment.

Maintain high standards of sanitation, personal hygiene, and beverage service techniques, focusing on the safe handling of products for guest consumption.

Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures and familiar with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for chemical usage. Maintain regular communication with supervisors to keep them informed of departmental activities. Ensure that all bar equipment is functioning properly and that the work area is clean and free of hazards. Report any issues with bar equipment immediately to a supervisor.

Work collaboratively with co-workers and management in a fast-paced casino environment, providing friendly and professional service.



QUALIFICATIONS

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in the Beverage Service Industry as a Bar Porter, Bar Back, or in a similar role.

This position requires the ability to provide fast-paced service, along with proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Candidates must be able to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols and engage in daily professional communication with colleagues and guests.

Basic math skills and the ability to multitask are essential, as well as a foundational knowledge of beverages, including specifications (fluid measurements, size, shape, color, glassware, and garnish) and product recognition (brand, label, bottle size, and color).

Experience with money handling and familiarity with digital touch screen cashiering systems is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Candidates must demonstrate compliance with HACCP guidelines in their daily work.

Adherence to safety and hazard-free work practices as outlined by Caesars Entertainment and relevant health and safety regulations is required.

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess certifications in Serve Safe Alcohol Awareness and Indiana State-approved Alcohol Training. An Indiana ATC (Alcohol & Tobacco Commission) License may also be required.

This position requires an IGC (Indiana Gaming Commission) Occupational License. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with potential requirements to work weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, or overtime based on business needs.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push or pull weights between 150 to 250 lbs on a pushcart, and enter walk-in coolers with temperatures ranging from -10 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, with or without assistance.

Candidates must be able to handle heat from cooking appliances and dishwashing machines. Normal or corrected vision is necessary, with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, walk frequently, and bend or reach heights of up to 6 feet with or without assistance (tasks include standing, sitting, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping).



WORK ENVIRONMENT

Caesars Entertainment operates in a smoking environment.

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with continuous exposure to varying temperatures, sunlight, fluorescent lighting, wet surfaces, and noise.

Employees may be required to use trained chemicals and will have constant interaction with fellow employees and guests.

Work is typically conducted in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, or noisy, and may contain smoke from cigars, cigarettes, or cooking.

Tasks will often be performed in confined spaces with limited access. Employees will need to navigate safely on potentially slippery floors and maintain the cleanliness and care of their assigned areas, as well as perform any tasks assigned by senior management.

ACCESS TO GAMING FLOOR

Access to the general gaming floor is required.
