Position Title: Instructional Assistant - Classified Role

Job Overview: This role is pivotal in supporting at-risk secondary students (grades 9-12) in their educational journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering an engaging learning environment and assisting students in achieving their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously while adhering to deadlines and fulfilling job requirements.
  • Understand and address the unique needs of at-risk secondary students.
  • Employ diverse resources and methodologies to actively engage students in their learning process.
  • Monitor and document student progress and course completion using an online educational platform.
  • Perform clerical tasks associated with instructional responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with classroom educators to facilitate non-traditional learning methods for students when necessary.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability.
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to organizational bylaws, policies, and the employee handbook.
  • Exemplify the mission and core objectives of the organization.
  • Implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies as needed.
