Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Eligibility Specialist to lead our team of Eligibility Specialists. The successful candidate will have a strong background in eligibility determination and will be responsible for mentoring and guiding our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and guide Eligibility Specialists to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Travel to DFR offices within the region as scheduled or needed to provide support and guidance to Eligibility Specialists.
  • Support and coach Eligibility Specialists to ensure they are following policies and procedures and meeting performance expectations.
  • Ensure that all Eligibility Specialists are aware of and are following the latest policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to Eligibility Specialists to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Submit daily and weekly reports on activities conducted while assisting Eligibility Specialists.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to Eligibility Specialists to help them improve their performance.
  • Provide training support for case reviews and QA scorecards.
  • Provide production support as needed.
Requirements
  • Eligibility Specialist experience is required.
  • Highly organized and analytical.
  • Able to provide clear and concise direction.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Patience in working with others.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Independent worker who is a self-starter.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Prefer a Bachelor or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services, but High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years' experience is desired.
Physical Requirements
  • Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
  • Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
