We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive administrative professional to provide essential support to our Educational Initiatives and Jewish Camp Programs teams. This role is pivotal in enhancing the experiences of the vibrant Jewish community in Northern NJ, contributing to transformative opportunities for local children through Jewish camps and educational programs.

The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Jewish community across various counties in NJ. Our mission focuses on fostering community engagement, ensuring the continuity of Jewish life, and supporting those in need both locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the Directors of Educational Initiatives and Jewish Camp Programs, as well as their respective teams. Your ability to work autonomously while establishing effective procedures will be crucial. You will also need to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing appointments within the departmental calendar
  • Collaborating closely with directors and team members
  • Processing financial requisitions and payments for both initiatives
  • Supporting the management of camp scholarship and grant applications
  • Assisting in the preparation for key programs, particularly the Quest for Teaching Excellence
  • Contributing to various educational projects and innovations as they emerge
  • Managing departmental correspondence and preparing acknowledgment letters
  • Maintaining organized departmental files and database entries
