Job Summary

The Insurance Account Manager at Jeff Rouland - Farm Bureau Insurance Agency is responsible for developing and maintaining profitable relationships with personal line clients and growing the book of business through new client sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients through in-person, online, phone, and written communication.
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support.
  • Actively prospect new clients and solicit increases in existing client coverage, including network opportunities.
  • Obtain best coverage and rate for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage, following up as necessary with inspection and documentation.
  • Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates.
  • Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Monitor and review key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documentation in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise, and participate in meetings as needed.
  • Maintain CE and participate in ongoing education, staying informed about industry information, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology.
Requirements
  • Hold the required insurance license and have a minimum of two years of personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience or comparable work experience.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations.
  • Have a proven track record of business-to-business sales success, with strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Be people-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing existing clients.
  • Possess outstanding organizational skills, ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision, sound business judgment, strong decision-making, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have excellent time management skills, thrive in a team environment, and have technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems.
