Job Summary

Moyer & Son Inc is seeking a skilled Pool Service Technician to join our team. As a Pool Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to repair and maintain pools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pool Repair and Maintenance: Work from service orders, verbal instructions, and manuals to remove, repair, and install pool equipment and pool systems.
  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Repair concrete, covers, skimmers, vacuum, and pumps. Replace filters, sand, valves, pipes, or hoses.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean pools and equipment. Install drains and new skimmers.
  • Seasonal Pool Preparation: Follow prescribed procedures to open or close pools for seasonal use.
  • Customer Service: Instruct customers on how to operate pool equipment, maintain quality pool conditions, or explain pool services.
  • Logistics and Supply Management: Maintain an adequate supply of parts and materials for assigned calls. Drive company vehicles to customer sites and deliver materials and supplies.
  • Team Support: Assist other employees with installations, large repairs, and heavy equipment.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Write reports and records of service calls, parts used, and time spent for billing purposes.
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Use, as authorized, hand and power tools, company vehicles, and other department equipment.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Observe all company rules, including safety, quality, and clean work areas.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Graduate or general education degree (GED); over one year, up to and including three years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Must have the ability to read and write the English language. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Use of some judgment to comply with pool service for repairs and maintenance involving the making of minor decisions.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Person must have/maintain a valid PA driver's license. Safety Sensitive position due to driving company vehicle and use of chemicals.
