Position Overview

We are in search of a **Cloud Systems Engineer** to join our team focused on modernizing legacy systems for the Luke Program. As part of a dedicated development and operations team, you will collaborate with our government partners to transition existing applications into a cloud-based framework. Your role will involve close interaction with clients to establish requirements, implement business logic, and enhance application performance. You will also provide strategic guidance in the development of enterprise and system architecture practices, documentation, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scripts for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate data ingestion.
  • Create scripts to establish direct connections to various data systems essential for business analytics and application functionality.
  • Automate data ingestion processes as necessary.
  • Assist in navigating the security accreditation process, including (i) documenting system configurations; (ii) updating configurations to comply with accreditation standards; and (iii) coordinating with assessors and security managers.
  • Support the distribution of reports to authorized users.
  • Facilitate data sharing and acquisition efforts.
  • Implement modifications to existing applications and data pipelines based on client specifications.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or an Associate's degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in enterprise and systems architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud migration and hybrid cloud management solutions.
  • 3+ years of extensive experience in system disaster recovery and backup solution engineering.
  • Proficient in VMWare and other virtualization technologies.
  • Proven track record in providing technical leadership in architecture, engineering, and operational services.
  • Experience in developing and integrating multiple data sources to create customized dashboards for senior management and government clients.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL Framework and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience in creating secure application systems in compliance with IC security guidelines.
  • Experience in designing and maintaining IT infrastructure for systems hosted in cloud environments.
  • Ability to assess the impact of proposed changes on future architectures and experience with the ICD 503 Certification and Accreditation Process.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create original documentation.
  • Experience in mentoring and overseeing less experienced personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with enterprise-level deployments, including governance and policy management.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • VMware Certified Professional.
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA).
  • Professional Scrum Master certification.
