The Cloud Operations Team is responsible for maintaining Brivo's essential cloud infrastructure, which supports critical production applications and monitoring tools. We engineer a diverse array of technical solutions for application environments, system integrations, security measures, and disaster recovery strategies. Your expertise will contribute to building an exceptional platform for Smart Spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside cybersecurity and data teams to deploy infrastructure tools and systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of development and production environments in collaboration with software engineering teams.
  • Lead projects and initiatives to create technical solutions that align with key objectives on the roadmap.
  • Provide expert, confident support within the organization to address internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Enhance processes, advocate for best practices, and uphold a high standard of professionalism in production-related tasks.
  • Encourage continuous learning and improvement of the platform, DevOps methodologies, and quality assurance strategies.
  • Assist the Cloud Operations team in ensuring maximum uptime and security while optimizing hosting expenses; this includes shared on-call responsibilities across teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS Cloud as a Senior SRE/DevOps engineer or in a leadership role.
  • Extensive technical expertise with front-end web technologies, CDN, header security, and web server configurations.
  • Proficient hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EKS, ECS/Fargate, EC2, Load Balancers, S3, Aurora, VPC, Route 53, CLI/API, API Gateway, CloudFront, and Lambda.
  • Experience in managing change within a dynamic environment.
  • Background in performance management, goal setting, and mentoring for team members.
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining SaaS products within a remote team structure.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog, Kibana, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Experience in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment, adept at identifying and addressing potential and active issues.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Experience with Configuration Management, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Opentofu).
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience with message bus queuing systems like Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.

The comprehensive compensation package for this full-time role includes a salary range of $120,000 - $160,000. Individual compensation packages are tailored based on unique candidate factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions. In addition to monetary compensation, Brivonians are eligible for various benefits and perks based on their work locations.
