This role involves collaborating with a group of skilled cloud computing professionals to swiftly develop and implement a demonstration capability while concurrently assisting the program office in defining, designing, and deploying the final system. The development process will be iterative, utilizing agile methodologies with contributions from various stakeholders. The team will evolve into a large-scale enterprise development initiative, necessitating exceptional adaptability and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of cloud computing experts to swiftly create and implement a demonstration capability while supporting the program office in defining, designing, and deploying the final system.
- Engage in iterative development using agile methodologies, incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Exhibit exceptional adaptability and technical proficiency in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.
- Participate in iterative software development teams, ensuring compliance with all reporting obligations.
- Meet with stakeholders to analyze requirements, user stories, and related documentation to determine specifications for system environments.
- Coordinate with technical teams responsible for cloud hosting infrastructures to establish and maintain environments for development, testing, and deployment.
- Build, migrate, and test AWS cloud environments and integrations.
- Develop templates or scripts to automate routine developer or operations tasks.
- Enhance and maintain cloud hosting through new automation.
- Monitor and sustain multiple cloud infrastructure environments based on client specifications.
- Identify innovative tools and processes to enhance cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with remote team members to foster positive and productive team dynamics.
- Develop, test, and monitor connections to interfacing systems, including data feeds and user interactions.
- Coordinate with other programs to integrate enterprise services for the sponsor system.
- As the program progresses, this role may require occasional on-call support.
- Create technical documentation and presentation materials to support program status reviews and management directives.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
- Required Experience: 8+ years.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Knowledge of physical server management and troubleshooting.
- Cloud application architecture (AWS/Azure).
- AWS Cloud Formation expertise.
- Large-scale system integration experience.
- Scripting skills for automating developer or operations tasks.
- Maintenance of environment and server configurations to industry standards.
- Experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to maintain environments at the latest security standards.
- Experience in remediating application/package installations.
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping to refine system requirements.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code design and management techniques.
- Exposure to project management methodologies and lifecycle models.
- Understanding of software quality assurance best practices.
Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.
