Role Summary:

This position involves collaborating with a team of cloud computing specialists to swiftly develop and implement a demonstration capability while concurrently assisting the program office in defining, designing, and deploying the final system. The development process will utilize agile methodologies, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders. The team is expected to evolve into a large-scale enterprise development initiative.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cloud computing experts to design and implement a demonstration capability while supporting the program office in system specification and deployment.
  • Engage in iterative development using agile methodologies, with input from diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate exceptional adaptability and technical expertise.
  • Operate in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements and multiple stakeholders.
  • Participate in iterative software development teams, ensuring compliance with all reporting standards.
  • Meet with stakeholders to analyze requirements, user stories, and related artifacts for system specifications.
  • Coordinate with technical teams responsible for cloud hosting infrastructures to establish and maintain environments for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Build, migrate, and test AWS cloud environments and integrations.
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline developer and operational tasks.
  • Expand and maintain cloud hosting through new automation solutions.
  • Monitor and manage multiple cloud infrastructure environments based on client specifications.
  • Identify and implement new tools and processes to enhance cloud platforms.
  • Foster positive, productive relationships with remote team members.
  • Develop, test, and monitor connections to interfacing systems, including data feeds and user interactions.
  • Collaborate with other programs to integrate enterprise services for use by the system.
  • As the program progresses, this role may involve occasional on-call support.
  • Create technical documentation and presentation materials for program status reviews and management briefings.


Education and Experience:

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.

Required Experience: 8+ years in a relevant field.


Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Linux/Unix systems administration.
  • Proficient in physical server management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud application architecture (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Large-scale system integration expertise.
  • Proficient in scripting for automation of developer or operational tasks.
  • Maintain environment and server configurations to industry standards.
  • Experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
  • Proficient with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ensure environments are maintained at the latest security standards.
  • Remediate application/package installations as needed.
  • Rapid prototyping to refine system requirements and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code design and management techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and lifecycle models.
  • Understanding of software quality assurance best practices.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
