Position Summary
The selected engineer will collaborate with a team of skilled cloud computing specialists to swiftly construct and implement a demonstration capability, while concurrently assisting the program office in defining, designing, and deploying the final system. Development will occur in an iterative manner utilizing agile methodologies with contributions from various stakeholders. The development team is expected to evolve into a large-scale, enterprise-level development initiative. This role demands exceptional adaptability and technical expertise. The work environment is dynamic, characterized by multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Engagement in iterative software development teams while adhering to all reporting obligations.
  • Conducting meetings with stakeholders to analyze requirements, user stories, and related documentation to establish technical specifications for system environments.
  • Coordinating with technical teams responsible for cloud hosting infrastructures to set up and maintain the environments utilized by the program for development, testing, and deployment of both the demonstration capability and the final production system.
  • Constructing, migrating, and testing AWS cloud environments and integrations.
  • Creating templates or scripts to automate routine developer or operational tasks.
  • Developing new automation solutions to enhance and sustain Cloud hosting.
  • Monitoring and managing multiple Cloud Infrastructure environments in accordance with client specifications.
  • Identifying new tools and processes to optimize Cloud platforms.
  • Collaborating with remote team members to foster and maintain positive, productive team dynamics.
  • Developing, testing, and overseeing connections to interfacing systems, including data feeds from various organizations and user interactions from other sponsor organizations.
  • Coordinating with other programs to integrate enterprise services to be utilized by the sponsor system.
  • As the program progresses, this role may necessitate occasional on-call support outside of regular hours.
  • Producing technical documentation and presentation materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed by program management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen.
  • Existing Clearance Required: Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration.
  • Understanding of physical server management and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in cloud application architecture (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Experience in large-scale system integration.
  • Ability to script for automating developer or operational tasks.
  • Maintenance of environment and server layout and configuration in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools.
  • Reviewing and maintaining environments at the latest security posture.
  • Remediating application/package installations.
  • Rapid prototyping to refine system requirements and technical specifications of the system and its operating environments.
  • Experience in developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code design, management, and version control techniques.
  • Exposure to project management skills and/or project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
  • Understanding of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
