Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in driving sales growth and revenue expansion for Wave. As a Business Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory. Your primary services will include coax delivered Internet, video, and voice, as well as ancillary services such as custom hosting, desktop security, data backup, data storage, toll-free numbers, additional email addresses, static IPs, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate all sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan (under the instruction of the Sales Manager) to expand the customer base within your assigned territory.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Place orders through order management software and work with the Account Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within your assigned territory, using Salesforce.com to maximize territory potential.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model, preferably 3-5 years.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
Working Conditions

Office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Exposure to moderate noise levels.
