Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee guest registration and check-out processes, ensuring adherence to prescribed procedures
- Assist in administering policies for communication between front desk, guests, and other hotel staff
- Maintain high standards of customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Understand hotel operations, including room types, rates, packages, and meeting spaces
- Assist with front desk organization, programs, and systems to keep staff on task
- Complete employee documentation for the front desk team
- Plan, direct, and monitor the activities of front desk agents
- Train front desk staff on sales techniques, customer service, and hotel offerings
- Help drive transient sales and control budget/overtime through effective scheduling
- Shuttle guests in company vans when required
- Hold monthly meetings with the front desk team
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain a neat and organized work area
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times
- Report any unsafe conditions to maintain a safe work environment
- Develop positive working relationships with all hotel departments
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hotel front desk experience preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of front office operations and ability to plan, organize, and direct staff
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, and effectively interact with guests and employees
- Maintain a professional appearance and have prior cash handling experience
- Skilled at multitasking and working well under pressure
- Can follow both verbal and written instructions
- Willing to work a flexible schedule
Physical Requirements:
Standing/Walking: 3-6 hours
Sitting: 1-3 hours
Crouching/Bending/Stooping: Up to 1 hour
Reaching: Frequent
Grasping: Frequent
Lifting/Carrying (up to 50 lbs.): Up to 1 hour
Climbing Stairs: Occasional
