About Us

MarketAxess is a leading financial technology company that is revolutionizing the way financial markets operate. Our platform enables the shift from analog, phone-based trading to a fully electronic marketplace, making trading fixed-income more accessible and improving transparency, efficiency, and competition in the marketplace.

We are on a mission to digitally transform one of the world's largest financial markets, and we need talented professionals like you to help us achieve our goal.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our financial reporting team as a Financial Reporting Associate. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and management's discussion & analysis.

You will also assist with review of XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnote disclosures for the quarterly and annual SEC filings, work with internal and external auditors to furnish requested information in a timely manner, and assist in accounting analysis of transactions and in preparation of accounting policy memos.

Additionally, you will keep current with SEC and Financial Accounting Standards Board issues and interpretations, and suggest enhanced disclosures, if applicable. You will also prepare annual benefit plan financial statements and footnotes, and assist the regulatory reporting team with broker-dealer reporting, including monthly FOCUS reporting, quarterly 17H reporting, and semi-annual financial statements and footnotes preparation.

As a Financial Reporting Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including special projects, and provide answers to a variety of financial and accounting questions in a timely manner.

What We're Looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with 2+ years of experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting. You should have strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work with stakeholders across the Finance and Legal departments.

You should be self-motivated and proactive, with a strong attention to detail, and be able to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines. You should also have strong proficiency using MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required, and a CPA is strongly preferred.

What You Can Expect from Us

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 USD to $120,000 USD, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including free food, paid time off, generous parental leave, 401(k) matching, and employee stock purchase plan. We also offer tuition assistance and professional development opportunities, as well as a wellness stipend and onsite healthcare.

We are an equal employment opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates. All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
