Role Overview:

Broadway Bank is seeking a senior-level professional for the position of Head of Cybersecurity Operations at our main office. This role is pivotal in delivering leadership and strategic direction to enhance enterprise security initiatives. The Head of Cybersecurity Operations will collaborate with bank executives to establish and manage a comprehensive cybersecurity program and risk management framework aligned with corporate objectives. This position entails developing, implementing, and enforcing cybersecurity policies, conducting security awareness initiatives, and formulating best practices to safeguard our information assets while adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance and adapt the Cybersecurity Program by executing projects that advance security measures across the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce effective cybersecurity policies and practices to protect the bank's data and operational areas.
  • Oversee operational security activities, including incident response, threat monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, including third-party resources.
  • Coordinate audit processes for the IT department, ensuring adherence to defined IT controls.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments to establish security standards and procedures that align with strategic objectives.
  • Manage compliance reporting related to cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend security controls during the development of new technologies, products, or services.
  • Develop an Incident Response Program to address security breaches and policy violations.
  • Ensure compliance with established cybersecurity policies through continuous monitoring.
  • Oversee identity and access management across all enterprise applications.
  • Maintain and enhance security procedures for the administration of new platforms.
  • Ensure that project design requirements consider potential impacts on cybersecurity.
  • Deliver training on cybersecurity awareness for all employees.
  • Implement adequate cybersecurity controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Facilitate communication and management of security controls between IT and business units.
  • Chair committees focused on cybersecurity matters.
  • Recommend appropriate security measures across personnel, physical, and technical domains.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to cybersecurity violations.
  • Understand business processes to collaborate effectively with vendors and user departments to enhance security.
Experience Requirements:
  • 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience with standard security technologies and principles.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in managing and developing technical teams.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience managing budgets for capital and operational expenses.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills with a deep understanding of cybersecurity.
  • Proven technical leadership in cybersecurity technologies.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and risk assessments in financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Solid experience in security incident response.
  • Knowledge of cloud security infrastructures.
  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex cybersecurity topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to drive strategy into execution and manage project delivery.
  • Effective communication skills with all management levels.
  • Preferred knowledge of banking systems and departmental functions.
  • Preferred knowledge of operating and troubleshooting techniques and technologies.
Education Requirements:
  • BA or BS in Information Systems with a focus on Information Security.
  • Preferred certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Additional Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and Exchange.
  • Preferred knowledge of security monitoring systems and devices.
