Cybersecurity Trainee

Key Responsibilities:

Join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing the field of cybersecurity. Engage in comprehensive training programs, conduct research, and develop best practices for incident detection and response. Collaborate on the creation of audio and video training materials. Gain hands-on experience in building lab exercises within a virtual machine setting to enhance specific cybersecurity skills. Support programming and scripting tasks while acquiring knowledge in hardware and software operations, along with various phases of the software development life cycle. Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to compile cybersecurity best practices and contribute to research initiatives for our clients. Embrace Agile project management methodologies and participate in diverse tasks within the cybersecurity domain.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Capability to obtain a security clearance
  • Expected to achieve a high school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in computer or network security
  • Experience in telecommunications
  • Understanding of engineering, programming, and software testing principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Information Assurance Certification

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Compensation Overview:

At Booz Allen, we recognize your contributions and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth. The projected salary range for this position is $51,700.00 to $106,000.00 annually, reflecting the typical compensation for this role.
